Gornergrat 3100m

As we write this report, we sit high among the Alps at 3100 feet – the highest hotel in Switzerland. We feel like travel writers on an expedition touring the most remote and beautiful places in the country. As we write this, we feel extremely blessed, as if many gifts have been stowed upon us. The life we are living is incredible, a dreamlike reality that we are welcoming each day with open arms.

The world is quieter at this altitude, a peaceful, welcome quiet. There is not much to do up here except marvel in the beauty and breathe the thin air. From every room there is a view - commanding, dramatic views of famous mountains and cold, icy glaciers.
For us, living in Switzerland is like falling deep in love, or as a Nike ad once said, “what happens when you fall down that long well of passion over a person, a place, a sport, a game, a belief and your heart goes boom and your mind leaves town.”

So for now, our minds have left town (quite literally) and we are enjoying each moment of our new life…everyday.

There are more photos to come…many more photos.

The Matterhorn - how cool is that!!! Looks nice and warm up there - NOT! What's with the stacks of rocks? Did the gnomes leave them? Can't wait to investigate in person! WOO HOO!
