Half birthdays and traditions...
I recently read an article on traditions. I love traditions, especially in a world that is ever changing, it is nice to know somethings are constant. This particular article highlighted the tradition of giving something away on your half birthday each year to those less fortunate. The idea is that you receive things on your birthday, so why not teach your children to give to others on their half birthday. What a beautiful idea. As Robert and I start to build our own family traditions, there is no doubt this is a tradition we want to teach our children.
Life is not only about receiving, but also about giving.
So on Noah's half birthday, we have decided to teach him the gift of giving.
Happy half birthday Noah, we cannot believe we have been blessed with your presence for six months already!
We love you!

WOW, six months already. He is really adorable and always smiling. He is clearly a happy boy! I love the last picture with the bandana, he looks like he's ready to rumble! LOL I love the idea of a half birthday and giving instead of receiving. I wish I had heard of that one when Katie was little. What a great idea!
