Sunday Hike:
Fluh is a village just 20 minutes by tram outside of Basel. We hiked uphill for the first part of the hike...hence the beautiful views! It still amazes us that with a few miles by tram you can leave the city an be in the beautiful country side. Another wonderful bonus...it is cherry season in Switzerland, so for 5 francs you can get a nice basket of fresh, locally grown cherries!

What a cool looking tree - must rain a lot there to have moss like that growing on it. Leah would feel at home there! I also love the little rose bush at the end of the row of grape vines - you can just see the woman of the house saying "It needs just a little something pretty!" What do the people of these small villages do for work - i.e - how can they afford to live there?
